My academic education includes a Master of Arts in Conflict Analysis Management (Peace and Conflict Studies) from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC Canada (2009), a Certificate in Conflict Management (2001) and a Chartered Mediator designation from ADR Institute of Canada (2003), an Advanced Certified Development Project Manager (CDPM® Level I) Certificate, (2021), and a Certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) (2019). Passionate about helping professionals master the science of conflict management at all levels of professional development, being an educator is close to my heart. Lethbridge College is home to our family with my oldest daughter being alumni. My teaching time here has been in Criminal Justice and Applied Arts and Sciences (General Studies). I have written and taught curriculum for justice studies, nursing, therapeutic recreation, and general studies. The courses I wrote for university transfer and to deliver in an online format are COM1162- Interpersonal Relationships, COM1170- Helping Relationships, and PRS1155- Public Speaking. All of my courses were delivered online as well as in face to face classrooms.

Volunteer Experiences

CESO is a leading economic development organization dedicated to sustainably reducing poverty and fostering economic growth in Canada and globally. As an ongoing Volunteer Advisor, in a 2021 project I provided Training of Trainers (ToT) curriculum design and training to the national Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, a not-for-profit, non-partisan, apex organization of chambers and sectoral associations in Ethiopia.

Indspire is an Indigenous-led registered charity that invests in education of Indigenous people for the long term benefit of these individuals, their families and communities, and Canada. During my time as a volunteer Mentor, I provided coaching, mentorship, and leadership to Indigenous university students in Canada.

ADR Institute of Canada, Mediator Accreditation Training

The ‘C.Med’ or ’Chartered Mediator’ designation is Canada’s most senior designation for mediator with a general or specific practice. As a volunteer Committee Member I reviewed C.Med applicants who desire to teach the ADRIC National Mediation Course.
